- I agree with the ODF team's position on windows compatibility. The ODF team
- has maintained that they are not going to pour a lot of resources into
- creating a hi-end graphics environment. Their current approach actually is
- not "least common denominator", but rather adds a feature sorely lacking on
- the Macintosh (line types), so I can hardly fault them if they only add the
- capabilities already built into Windows.

- We too have need for better line type definitions, and are currently
- writing our own rendering functions/classes to do so. If you are interested
- in collaborating with us, drop me a note. We also have need for rotated
- text, which by the way Windows has, but the Mac does not (unless one uses
- Quickdraw GX). This issue is a real problem for us as well since the
- current ODF implementation has complete graphic support for Windows &
- Quickdraw, but only incomplete support for GX. Any ideas for doing rotated
- text on the Mac is also very welcome.
